Salary Range: $25.00 – $27.00 per hour
Location: Brighton, MA

Candidates must be bilingual, English/Haitian Creole OR English/Spanish and have a valid drivers license to be considered.

Our client is a Boston-based nonprofit and leader in direct services dedicated to partnering with families to overcome poverty.

The Housing Specialist works with families to navigate housing barriers, secure stable living arrangements, and build relationships with housing authorities and landlords to expand opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess housing needs and address barriers like credit or tenancy issues.
• Assist participants with housing interviews, viewings, and lease signings.
• Educate participants on tenant rights and lease obligations.
• Partner with landlords and housing authorities to expand housing options.
• Maintain accurate records and collaborate with program mentors for holistic support.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in housing, property management, or leasing.
• Knowledge of housing subsidies and programs, with a focus on homelessness issues.
• Bilingual in Haitian Creole (required).
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Boston.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
